Show Rules

  • Entry fee is $4.00 per bird.  All fees must be mailed in with your entry.

  • Entries close Saturday, November 20, 2010.  Entries postmarked after this date will be returned.

  • Mail entries to:  Joyce Cap,  36 Wendy Road,  Milford,  CT  06460.

  • Make checks payable to:  FAIRCOUNT

  • The show hall will open at  8:00 A.M.   Birds must be cooped by 9:00 A.M. Judging starts at 10:00 A.M.  Coop out time is after all judging is complete.

  • All birds are to be checked in with the Show Secretary.

  • Classes will be provided for Young Hens (YH), Young Cocks (YC), Old Hens (OH) and Old Cocks (OC).  Young birds must be 2010 seamless banded.

  • Substitutions will be allowed only in the same age, sex and color class.

  • Entries must state Breed,  Color,  Markings,  Sex  and  Band Number.

  • Rollers must be entered as one of the following:  Show  or  Flying

  • Racing Homers must be entered as:  Flown (Racing) or Unflown (Show)

  • American Show Racers will be in their own class.

  • Faircount has the right to combine classes to create competition.

  • Junior entries must be 18 or under, please mark entries.

  • Judges decision will be final.

  • Faircount will not be responsible for the loss, injury, or theft of any bird (s). Pigeons are entered at the sole risk of their owner, although every precaution will be taken.

For Sale Area

  • Areas Largest  FOR  SALE  Section

  • Sale coops will be available at $5.00 per hole.

  • No more than 4 birds per hole.

  • After the original birds are sold, any additional birds put in the hole will be charged at the original rate.

  • Reserve your sale coops on the entry form.

  • All birds on the grounds must be entered in the Show or in the For Sale Section.

  • No outside selling.  All outside soliciting is subject to a $50.00 donation to the FAIRCOUNT CLUB.
